Birthdays And Thoughts That Come With Them

Birthdays as we all know are basically referred to the date ( month and day ) in which we were born. And when that day of the year comes around, people all over try to celebrate either by going out somewhere, giving gifts and most oftenly cutting cakes. But what is it that makes birthdays special, and are they something truly special, well, that is exactly what I would be sharing my thoughts on in this article, so without further ado, let’s get right into it.

A Picture To Better Elaborate On My Thoughts On “Birthdays And Thoughts That Come With Them“

I personally think that one should try to find ways to be happy and enjoy their lives, and enjoying and playing around on birthdays is a completely normal thing to do. But, I have often found myself comparing my life of the previous years and how it was this year, along with fantasizing how it will be in the coming birthdays. It has always been thought-provoking as in a recent study it was found that the average life expectancy of people all around the world is nearly 73 years. Now, there are obvious inconsistencies to this figure as you might be well aware. But lets take this figure for a while. So, this means a person on average is going to nearly have 73 birthdays if all goes well, and every birthday shortens another year out of the 73 count and takes you closer to that 73rd birthday, despite of whether you did something exceptional or memorable that year or not. Time passes like it always does, and a new year could be full of everything and on the same time be full of nothing, it is all about the choices one makes.

I guess, what I am trying to say was best put by Hellen Keller in the following words

“Life Is Either A Great Adventure Or Nothing”

It can easily be either one of the both, it just a matter of choices and decision one makes.

Though these might seem like some weird thoughts to have on your birthday, but I personally have always had these thoughts more on my birthday then on the new years, which is when they are perceived to be more conventionally common. Moreover, like I said, I always find myself comparing the year that has passed with the prior years and the years to come. And a though that often bites me is when I think about all of the things that I planned last year which I couldn’t achieve, this often makes me question whether the things that I have planned for the coming years will actually be achieved. And then ultimately, I always end up consoling myself by thinking “ I guess we would just have to see it through” and another quote comes to mind that hard-work in itself is useless if you don’t believe in yourself. So concluding this point, I would just say, Give your best, hope for the best, and then make do with what you get.

Hopefully, everyone reading this would have a wonderful year. Would really love to hear about the things that comes to your guys’ minds on your birthdays, so feel free to use the comment section below.

Cheers,
